What are intermittent catheters?
Intermittent catheters are hollow, flexible tubes that drain urine from the body when the bladder cannot empty on its own.
Intermittent catheters are used at scheduled times throughout the day based on one’s prescription. You insert the catheter, drain the bladder, then withdraw it and throw it away.
Many people prefer to use intermittent catheters because it offers more independence and a better quality of life than staying attached to a urine collection bag all day as one would with a Foley catheter or male external catheter.
At 180 Medical, we offer catheters in a wide variety of catheters from all major brands. Contact us to get started.
