Will Medicare pay for more than 200 catheters per month?
If you are using more than 6 to 7 catheters per day, you may wonder if your Medicare plan will pay for more than 200 catheters per month. Most of the time, Medicare will only cover up to 200 catheters. However, in rare cases, it is medically necessary to use more.
If your doctor determines that it is medically necessary for you to catheterize more than seven times per day, Medicare might cover this need with additional supporting documentation.
